Established at the end of 2022, the Rondalla O Son do Mar stands out as one of the most exciting new groups within the Ferrol rondallas. They made a remarkable public debut on March 10, 2023. "O Son do Mar" is a dynamic vocal-instrumental ensemble that features a powerful mix of male and female voices, accompanied by a rich array of string instruments, including guitars, bandurrias, and lutes, as well as vibrant percussion. In its short but impressive history, the group has already delivered 19 captivating concerts and proudly presents a repertoire of 14 diverse pieces that highlight various interpretive styles, from instrumental solos to stunning vocal performances and harmonious choral arrangements. Their performances are a celebration of musical diversity, effortlessly blending Ferrol music, boleros, tangos, Galician music, and contemporary hits—unified by the common thread of romantic themes. Audiences can expect an engaging hour-and-a-half concert featuring songs by renowned artists such as Luz Casal, Maná, Luis Emilio Batallán, Os Panchos, Carlos Gardel, Pacho Galán, Antón Seoane, and original works by the talented director of the Rondalla, Juan Manuel Brage Rabina.
