The rondalla Sonidos del Alba is part of the Cultural Group of the same name. This group was established in 1996 by a dozen young people and made its debut at the traditional Ferrol festival in 1997, which is now recognized as a regional tourist attraction. Over the past twenty-seven years, Sonidos del Alba has consistently participated in the Night of the Pepitas, contributing to the tradition of making "Ferrol become a song" every spring alongside other rondallas. The group is involved in the circuit organized by the Provincial Council and participates in the Ferrol Scene program offered by the Ferrol City Council. It also takes part in various festive programs organized by municipalities, cultural associations, and local communities, as well as charity events that support social initiatives from other organizations. The rondalla performs a diverse repertoire that includes well-known songs from several music genres, particularly boleros, havaneras, and traditional music. Sonidos del Alba is frequently invited to perform at different events and festivals in locations such as Ourense, León, Asturias, and Cantabria, among others. In 2001, the group received the "Rondalla do Ano" award from the Ferrolana Artistic Society (SAF). The rondalla is conducted by Ricardo Blanco Rodríguez, a professor at the Superior Conservatory of Music of A Coruña and a renowned pianist with several awards as a soloist.
The current president of the group is Enrique López Mosquera, and the Godmother for the year 2025, who will accompany them in their performances, is Esperanza López López.
